The Gospels relate the birth, life and redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ when He was here on earth. They are divided into four Gospels, where the authors were Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, being Matthew and John direct disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, who walked with him, and heard his teachings personally.

Each Gospel has a particular narrative, where the way of writing of each author is differentiated. The message is the same, but each one does it with a unique purpose, narrating from his own point of view.

The book Acts of the Apostles is later than the Gospels and was written by Luke, it narrates the history of the early Church, the persecution they received because of the Jews, and also the scope and expansion that the Church had at that time.
